The reason why I haven't been to any Kelseys recently was because their menu was always the same. Nothing new for the past years. Even before my boyfriend and I were a "thing", the menu was still the same from then and now. So this time when I got an email saying Kelsey has their "Burger Fest", we decided to give it a try.
I realized that this location, despite it being so close to Wonderland, was very empty than expected, so we were able to get seated fairly quickly. We noticed that they have a happy hour menu where domestic beer, classic mixed drinks and wine were $4 during a certain time during the day. So I ordered a rum & coke because of that.
The server was attentive throughout, always checking in and letting us know why our drinks/ food were late.
I have ordered the BBQ burger from the fest menu... I don't have much thing to say rather than it tasted like a normal burger, still juicy and nothing special. For the fries though, I have decided to "spice it up" and have it mixed with their Sriracha seasoning. The seasoning tasted nothing like Sriracha in my opinion, but it did give the fries a little heat, making them less boring. -

Giving 1 star because the girl at the door that took us to our seat was very nice and the decor was good.
I ordered the mushroom sirloin medium well with veggies and Cesar salad. When the steak came it was literally raw. The waitress was no where to be found for 20 minutes while my family finished their meals. Finally I noticed a manager I let her know my steak was raw. She agreed it was way under cooked and sent it back. It came back charcoaled on the outside and still raw in the middle with no mushrooms. Also the steak has a weird gas taste to it ... like it has been saturated in lighter fluid before being cooked.... totally strange I've never experienced that anywhere before. The veggies were raw and Cesar salad was saturated in chemical tasting dressing. I ate a couple bites and that was it. It cost 125$ for 4 of us to eat which I thought was pretty expensive considering my husband only had an appetizer and my plate wasn't even edible. My son didn't even eat his fries... he loves fries... they where cold in the middle and just tasted bad. This actually might be the worst food I have ever had at a restaurant. -

I stopped by Kelseys with a friend because it was in very close vicinity of Wonderland. When we walked in, the place was pretty much empty so we were able to be seated fairly quick. I took the waiters recommendation and ordered the chicken caesar wrap and my friend ordered the chicken caesar sandwich. Our waiter was really nice he frequently checked in with us and promptly served our order.
The wrap tasted good but the combo of caesar salad and the chipotle tossed chicken tasted more like bar food instead of a restaurant meal. The fries were really cold but as soon as I notified our waiter he quickly replaced the old fries with fresh ones. My friend's order was not too different from mine and she also agreed it tasted good but seemed more of an oversized appetizer. Maybe I watch too much Hell's Kitchen but I think Chef Ramsay would agree that there is no reason as to why the top of her sandwich bun should have been crushed the way it was.
Overall, the customer experience was really good but the food could use some improvement. I would recommend coming to this place if you just are coming back from Wonderland/Halloween haunt because the location is convenient. -

Ordered the peppercorn burger but subbed a veggie patty for the double beef patty (for some reason if you sub a double beef patty you only get one veggie patty). Worked out in the end since the patty was very bland and had hard chewy bits in it. The goat cheese and onions rings (which were missing and added five minutes of wait time to receive them) saved the burger and made it edible. Upgraded the fries to a poutine for $2.50 bringing the total for the meal to $18.49 which is kind of pricey. The upgrade, although tasty, wasn't worth it. It came with very little cheese and not enough gravy.
The service was good; The hostess was friendly and seated us immediately. Once seated, the server came to get our order right away.
I like their new look. The tables and lighting have a nice rustic look to them. The plates are also attractive but may be too large as it made the serving size look small.
Nothing I would come back for, but if you want to try this place out, expect a solid 3/5. -

I ordered through UberEats and in all aspects had a terrible experience. There was a promotion that if you spent $20 before tax, you are eligible for 5$ off your order. All I wanted was nachos, but in order to reach the $20, I ordered 3 cookies and an order of sweet potato fries in addition to the nachos. I don't even know where to begin. First, I only received 2 out of the 3 cookies I ordered and both looked like they had been baked in extremely different conditions- one was hard as a rock and the other was undercooked, however, both WERE NOT EDIBLE. I noticed this right away before trying the other food, and to my later disappointment, I thought this was going to be the only issue with the order. So, I called the store and the manager told me to go into the restaurant to pick up the missing food item- the whole reason I ordered through UberEats was so that I did not have to leave my house, she provided no help whatsoever. After being provided no help, I decided to try the food that actually arrived with the order... the sweet potato fries were dry and overcooked, with no dipping sauce that was PICTURED in the display picture. The nachos tasted as if someone dumped a tub of salt on them and were extremely oily. Overall, this was a disgusting experience and definitely will never return to dine in or takeout, and will be telling everyone I know to avoid this place at ALL costs. This location has a CONCERNING lack of attention to quality or customer service.
